Artistic Gymnastics
Qualifications (CI)
For the Qualifications (C-I), the gymnasts will be divided into groups consisting of team groups (for gymnasts belonging to the same NF) or mixed groups (for individual gymnasts) as per the drawing of lots’ results. The allocation of groups into the various subdivisions and the starting order of the NF in the first rotation of each subdivision were decided by this drawing of lots results. Subsequent rotations will proceed as per the standard rules should the nominative registrations permit it.
At the completion of the Qualifications (C-I), a list of qualified MAG and WAG gymnasts for the Apparatus Finals (CIII) will be published. In case of ties, the tie-breaking rules as defined in the FIG Technical Regulations will apply.
Format for Competition I for teams: a team is composed of six gymnasts, five compete and the best four scores count.
London 2012 Olympic Games qualification
The Test Event will qualify Men’s and Women’s Artistic gymnasts to the 2012 Olympic Games as follows:

MAG and WAG Teams of 5 gymnasts from NOCs ranked 1-4 as per the Team ranking results of Competition I,

Best ranked individual gymnasts up to the total of 96 MAG gymnasts and 96 WAG gymnasts as per the Individual ranking results of Competition I (all around results) with maximum 1 per NOC. These places cannot be allocated to NOCs where a team has already obtained a quota at the 1st or 2nd qualification.

If NOC ranked 5 - 8 as per the team ranking of Competition I from the 2012 Test Event qualify for the OG with one gymnast, the place will be allocated to the NOC.

If NOC with teams ranked 17 - 24 as per the Team ranking of Competition I from the 2011 World Championships qualify for the Olympic Games, these NOC will be entitled to decide which gymnast among their two ranked gymnasts will participate at the Games, provided that the results of the second best ranked gymnast are higher than the first reserve gymnast. The quota place will be allocated by name.

If MAG and WAG NOC other than NOC ranked 1-24 from the team ranking of Competition I from the 2011 World Championships qualify for the OG with one gymnast, they will obtain a nominative quota place.
In case the quota of 96 MAG and 96 WAG gymnasts is not reached after the 2012 Test Event, the remaining quota places will be allocated to the NOCs not qualified to participate in the 2012 Test Event, as per the Individual ranking of Competition I from the 2011 World Championships (all-around result) with maximum 1 MAG gymnast and maximum 1 WAG gymnast (nominative place) until the quota of 96 is reached.
Apparatus Finals (CIII)
The best eight gymnasts per apparatus from Competition I will qualify to participate in the Apparatus Finals (CIII) with a maximum of two gymnasts per NF and with three reserve gymnasts per apparatus standing by.
Except in the case of injury, it is expected that all qualifiers will compete in the Final.
Rhythmic Gymnastics
Individual competition
The programme comprises exercises with hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.
Qualifications (C I)
Competition I will determine qualification for the London 2012 Olympic Games (five gymnasts) and for Competition II at this event (ten gymnasts). The list of qualified gymnasts for Competition II will be published upon the completion of Competition I. The list of qualified gymnasts for London 2012 will be announced by the FIG following the event.
All-around Final (C II)
The top ten gymnasts from Competition I perform exercises with each of the four pieces of apparatus. Except in the case of injury, it is expected that all qualifiers will compete in Competition II.
The final rankings will be determined by adding the four scores together. The results of Competition I will not be taken into consideration when determining the final rankings.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded.
Group Competition
The programme consists of one exercise with five balls and one exercise with three ribbons and two hoops.
General competition (C I)
Competition I will determine qualification for the London 2012 Olympic Games (four groups). All groups will progress to the final at this event.
All-around final (C II)
Except in the case of injury, it is expected that all groups will compete in Competition II. The final rankings will be determined by adding the two scores together. The results of Competition I will not be taken into consideration when determining the final rankings.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to all gymnasts in each of the top three groups.
Trampoline Gymnastics
Qualification
Both the men’s and women’s competitions will be composed of two groups. The first group will complete their first routine before the march in of the second group who will then compete their respective first routines. Both groups will then complete their second routine in the same competition order.
At the completion of the qualifying rounds, a list of qualified and reserve gymnasts for the finals will be published.
London 2012 Olympic Games qualification
The five best-ranked men (by NF) and women (by NF) in the qualifying round, excluding the individual gold, silver and bronze medallists from the 2011 World Championships, plus the host country gymnast if already qualified as per the ranking of the Finals from the 2011 World Championships and subject to a maximum of one per NF, will qualify an NF place for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The NF’s qualifying positions for London 2012 will be acknowledged during the victory ceremony.
Finals
The best eight gymnasts from the qualifying rounds will qualify to participate in the finals, with a reserve gymnast standing by.
Except in the case of injury, it is expected that all qualifiers will compete in the Finals.
